WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
We are a collective of gobby northern poets, musicians and storytellers. We are Henry Raby, Stu Freestone, Hannah Davies and Bram Jarman (aka Jarmouse).
As individual artists we write, make and perform in all kinds of places. As SAY OWT we programme and host poetry slams, workshops, open-mics, gigs, and performance events across Yorkshire and beyond.
Say Owt were Highly Commended for Best Performance at the York Culture Awards 2018 and have ripped up stages at the Great Yorkshire Fringe, the ArtsBarge, the Edinburgh Fringe, Deer Shed, Ilkley Literature Festival, York Theatre Royal and more.

We programme a wide range of work. Our Say Owt Slam events are slams where poets going head to head in a battle of words. Audience judges choose which poet goes through to the next round and who become Say Owt Slam Champion of the night.
